Why are you so quiet? Are you ok? Are you mad?
I'm sure these questions sound familiar, right?
I mean, even Google describe introvert as being "shy". (see picture above).
Well, it turns out that introverted are necessarily shy or a snob and that you shouldn't try to be something you aren't.
In this article, I'm going to share 5 of the top misconception about introverts.
People have a lot of misconception about introversion. They believe that you are automatically shy. Introversion means that you get energy from being alone. While extraverted people get their energy from always being around people.
1. They Are Lonely
Introverted people value alone more than the average person. It is the time when they get a chance to charge up and be ready for the loud world. Although introverted people love to be alone they also feel the need to be surrounded by people. These are people that they truly love and not a shallow superficial person. So, yes they love being alone, they never feel lonely unless they are by themselves for too long.
2. Anti-Social Creature
Following up my first point, people think that because introverts want to be alone means that you are anti-social. Let me be straight, introverted people can be to most talkative, the entertainment person you can be around. As long as they feel comfortable and have the feeling they are contributing to a real conversation. They don't truly enjoy small talks. Still, it's understandable that you don't want to have a serious talk all the time. 3. They don't speak up
"You should speak your mind", "you should talk more". "speak up". I'm sure that an introvert will speak their mind, talk more and speak if others with shut the up and listen. Give it a try.

4. Listening is an art
Listening is an art that people of quiet nature have mastered. Introverts love when other people do the talking. But in that, it is also important to know how to communicate especially in a more professional environment. The good thing is it is something you can learn. 5. They Are Naive
Introverts are deep lovers and reserved people. They truly care. They tend to see the best I the worst people and that can turn into endless disappointments. That's why is difficult for an introvert to let anybody into their lives. They mind care too much about you, while you don't even deserve. But once they let you in, you find you the best, most SOCIAL and loyal friend ever. Introverts don't necessarily mean shy. The difference between an introvert and extravert is that introverts gain energy by being alone. Deep down we are all the same. So, whether you are an introvert or extravert, the point is to find your strengths, stay open-minded and keep growing
