4 Secrets To Internal Happiness.

When we think about happiness, we believe that to do with your position, your car, brand clothing or even another person. We are constantly looking for something outside of ourselves to fulfill a need. But in reality, all the happiness that you have been looking for has always been here, within you.


In this blog, I write about 4 chemicals that produce happiness and how you can release these chemicals.


Dopamine

Dopamine also is known as “the chemical of reward” is a neurotransmitter that makes you feel good when you hit your target. Having a low level of dopamine can lead you to procrastination, lack of enthusiasm or even self-doubt. To release this chemical you can perform different activities that require you to achieve a certain goal. This can be exercise, having a good sleep at night, sex. Vitamin C, B3, B6 are sources to release dopamine.

However, having too much chemical release a have an effect on your energy. So you use it when it is needed

.

Endorphin

Edophirn is a chemical that helps reduce pain and increase pleasure. The good feeling you have after a long work out, orgasm and sexual intercourse all activities that produce endorphin.


Serotonin

Serotin is the “Feeling of importance” chemical. Happy thoughts can help produce serotonin. That is why practicing gratitude help because you are reminding yourself of the good you have while creating this positive mental picture which makes you feel good about yourself. Having exposure to the sunlight also help produce serotonin. When feeling alone or depressed it can be sign of low Serotonin. So, give more attention to positive thoughts, practice gratitude, enjoy the sunlight and be happy.


Oxytocin

If you didn’t yet just give someone a hug. This simple activity help produce Oxytocin. Dr. Zak recommends eight hugs each day. Oxytocin is the “trust” chemical. Every time you are with someone you trust or you are in trustworthy environment you release Oxytocin.

Set small achievable goals (Hit the gym) and make sure to hit the target

Get out and enjoy sunlight
